What is Pure Stretch?

Pure Stretch is a 45 minute programme that lasts roughly 6-8 weeks and targets all those muscles that need loosening up and lengthening.  Expect to prepare the join with a bit of mobilisation, then use a variety of stretching techniques to lengthen it out. Pure Stretch is not a stuffy class, it’s relaxed and fun.  Anyone can do it (even injuries can be accommodated) and you work to your own body’s abilities.  There is no competition, it’s purely “me time”.

MBFitness introduced Pure Stretch in September 2018 and within 3 weeks participants were reporting increased flexibility.

The lovely thing about Pure Stretch is that it’s consistent; over the 6-8 weeks you should be able to see some progression.

Please bring a mat if you have one, a strap or the tie from your dressing gown, and a towel or cushion.

I have so enjoyed the last few weeks of pure stretch. I have been to 6 classes and started with a stiff shoulder and a rib cartilage problem, which I have had for 30 years. I can now achieve large shoulder mobility and rock up to a seated position without pain in my rib cage. Generally at the age of 63 I feel very mobile and the most body confident I have felt in years. I have been active all my life but this class definitely has the biggest impact on my body.
